16 Weeks! :)

Pregnancy Update…
We had our 16 week appointment last Monday -- I'm a little behind updating our blog!  It was a short one but everything seems to be going good.  The baby’s heartbeat was 148 (normal rage 120-160).   I’m past the first trimester discomforts that I have waited so long to have and am enjoying every minute of the second trimester.  I’m really looking forward to being able to feel the baby move sometime in the coming weeks.
We dug our baby name list back out this week after our doctor’s appointment and crossed off well over half of the names.  I’m not sure what we were thinking with our first two pregnancies, but our taste in baby names has defiantly changed.

Infertility Awareness...
Katie Couric had an episode on infertility a while back.  Below is a clip from that show where Tom Arnold shares part of his infertility journey. Unfortunately I missed the episode but have viewed several clips from it on YouTube.  The one below hits really close to home, if you have read our other post I think you will be able to find the connection between our stories the end of this clip.

In other news...
We spent last weekend camping at Pike's Peak.  It was very nice and quiet.  We spent most of the day Saturday hiking up to Peak Ann. It was going to be a short hike...or so we thought.  When we were just about the the overlook (2hrs into the "short" hike) Daniel informed me that his sugars were low -- they were 48 according to his sensor they should be around 100! We weren't going to be gone for long so we didn't pack any snacks...we just took our water bottles. We continued onward picking raspberries for him to eat along the way and I was asking him about every 10 steps how he was feeling.  We planned on buying a snack at the concession stand at the top...or so we thought.  We were wrong (no concession stand in sight) but luckily there was a mother and her son that had some goldfish crackers and were nice enough to share them with us.  After Daniel had a few crackers in him we were able to start heading down the bluff.  We could see the small town of McGregor from the top of the bluff which was MUCH closer than our campsite.  We decided to walk down into town to get lunch and a snack for the way back to our camper. In total we spent about 6 hours on our "short" hiking trip that day needless to day when we got back we sat in our chairs and relaxed for the remainder of the night.
