February 17th

Where are we...
Today is day 8 of my cycle and I have finished my 5 days of Femara to help me ovulate.  Now we are waiting on that little digital smiley face from the ovulation predictor kit (pictured below).  We are expecting to see it late this week or early next week. Once it appears I will call the nurse and schedule our IUI for the following morning.
I have become too familiar with these!

At the end of most of my posts from here on out I plan on sharing an article or resource I have found to be helpful throughout this journey.  This time I am going to tell you about Resolve.

Resolve is a national infertility association.  They have both local and online resources.
I use several of their services. Below are the ones I have found to be most helpful.
  • Support Group: We have been attending a local peer led support group since November.  We meet monthly to share our stories and discus topics of interest. Last month we discussed the emotional aspects of infertility and tips for coping.
  • Facebook: I also frequent the Resolve Facebook page where I have connected with two women.  We keep in touch via Facebook messages at least weekly.
  • Website: The articles I will be sharing in later post will mostly come from this website.  They have TONS of information available for infertiles and their loved ones.
Check them out at www.resolve.org.
