Infertility Update…
We are now playing the waiting game once again. Our IUI was completed a few weeks ago and it only took one nurse and one doctor! I didn’t have four women trying to get me pregnant this time; therefor it was a little less awkward. I don’t have a very good feeling about this cycle. I’m pretty sure we will be trying the process one more time next month. Only time will tell though.
The same day we had the IUI we went to an informational meeting about foster care and adoption. We both learned a lot about the process and have a lot to consider over the next few months. The next 10 week class does not start until July or August, so we have a little time to make our decision. We did send in the background check paperwork and were fingerprinted. We should be getting a call in a few weeks to let us know if we passed and to get signed up for the class if we decided to go that route.
In other news….
We ran our first Glow Run 5K in Des Moines last weekend. We had a lot of fun. The most entertaining part of the weekend happed after the event when we were eating dinner. There was a group of several other runners. A very high maintenance lady and her husband that did not run in the race were eating with them. One of the runners accidently spilt her water and it got the high maintenance lady wet. The runner apologized (multiple times) and the lady threw the biggest fit I have ever seen grown woman throw…for the remainder of our time there (about 30 minutes) she continued to whine! It was a very entertaining dinner for Daniel and I.
We still have a little work to do on our spare room. We are currently just enjoying a clean house for a few weeks though. We have priming and painting the trim, cleaning the carpet, and getting the carpet re-stretched left on our to-do list.
